What drives global companies to achieve sustainable rapid growth?
That’s a question that crosses the minds of leaders in the most varied sectors. When talking about technology companies where nurturing innovation and constantly searching for the best talents factor can be decisive to build relevancy, finding the answers to these challenges can be vital to their long-term strategies.
In this talk led by Paulo Monçôres, Director of Engineering at VTEX, we invited Akshaya Aradhya, Director Of Engineering, Data Platform Edge at Netflix, Eric Richmond, Director of Engineering at Shopify, and Eric Tchokonte, Engineering Director at Google to discuss their experiences leading engineering teams to sustain hyper-growth.
Paulo wrote about this in this LinkedIn post:
As leaders, we should commit very hard to make people feel three things:
Inspired: As leaders, we need to make sure people in our organizations are connected with something bigger. We need to be able to show the work they are doing is connected with something bigger. They need to know the reason you wake up in the morning to do what you do.
Valued: They need to know the work they are doing matters. We need to show care and appreciation for what is being done.
Emancipated: I don’t like the word empowerment because it brings me the feeling of a leader-follower approach. I believe in the leader-leader approach to create a successful organization. I ask myself every week how can I emancipate people in my organization?
So, sign up and join our conversation about how engineering leadership is an essential part of driving growth in tech companies.
