We are looking for someone with events, PR and e-commerce knowledge, looking for scaling VTEX’s market knowledge, all done by creating unique quality and outstanding events and PR strategies. The main challenge of this position is to lead the biggest hispano ecommerce event VTEX Connect in México City, with an expected venue of more than 15 thousand assistants: https://vtexconnect.vtex.com/. This main event, and all parallel responsibilities, should generate such quality leads, that it will end up in a pipeline full of real business opportunities for the sales team, in a very competitive environment.
For the events role, you will be responsible for creating the strategy, providing the budget guidance, leading all third party agencies, managing sponsor and exhibitor packages, relationships, and negotiations, defining the event’s agenda and engage with speakers and creating the content. Our proprietary events create the conditions for the different agents of our ecosystem to generate new business opportunities through a qualified base of attendees and reliable operations. As events we have: VTEX own events (as such is Connect), third party events (as assistants) and co-events (VTEX + partners from our ecosystem).
For the PR role, you will provide strategic guidance relative to strategy, media relations, social media marketing, and content marketing, by acting as company spokesperson and serve as a key contact for media, industry partners and the community; managing external agency and provide necessary PR tools in support of brand initiatives; conference/Tradeshow/Event management & on-site support; monitoring and tracking coverage; communicating with industry media, analysts, vendors, and key influencers to ensure that the company maintains a favorable position; securing editorial features and news items, develop story angles and write/edit press releases and maintaining strong relationships and dialogue with mobile, tech, business, and ecommerce.
This will be done by leading a team of high performants, third party agencies and freelancers, that together must take out the best of each other and guarantee the conquer of our KPI’s: Leads, MQLs and SQLs. As well, by measuring the performance of each effort and making sure to make decisions out of the historic numbers, in order to keep doing better and better over the time. At the end, all efforts must deliver a well positioned VTEX brand, quality sales leads, happy customers and a strong ecosystem.
