About the role

As a Security Engineer at VTEX, you will work in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of an organization’s cloud infrastructure. You will be:

• Designing and implementing security controls for cloud-based infrastructure and applications
• Conducting security assessments and risk analysis of cloud environments
• Managing and monitoring access to cloud resources using identity and access management (IAM) solutions
• Developing and implementing security policies and procedures for cloud environments
• Collaborating with other teams, such as engineering and product, to ensure cloud security is a part of the developer journey
• Responding to security incidents and performing forensic analysis to determine root cause
• Staying up to date with the latest security threats and technologies and recommending solutions to address them

About the team

You will be part of our Security team which provides expertise, tools, and frameworks that enable all VTEX teams to build secure and reliable systems. Our Cloud Security team is the foundation that supports our operations and is the base of our cloud security strategy. Additionally, we play a crucial role in protecting critical data, ensuring the continuity of our services, and enabling our company to grow confidently. You will work on high-impact engineering projects with measurable results that affect the entire company, preventing and eliminating business threats. You will face challenges to raise the cloud security maturity of a company with a global presence.
