About the role

The Solution Engineer at VTEX is:
  • A digital commerce professional that supports the Account Executive during the sales cycle, mainly in regards to technical topics;
  • Responsible to support the senior leaders to identify the customers’ technical requirements, and convert them into business needs to demonstrate VTEX features;
  • Responsible to orchestrate the internal processes after signing a contract by handing over the project to the CX team, and aligning new features with the Regional Product team;
  • Responsible for implementing new processes and ideas alongside the head of the Solution Engineering Team.

About the team

The Solution Engineer team is responsible for:
  • Engaging and convincing the company’s tech team;
  • Introducing the best architecture to implement VTEX systems in a scalable way to help our customers overcome their digital strategy challenges;
  • Supporting the senior leaders to design, describe, and manage VTEX-based solutions to specific business problems – from the way the platform is implemented to the necessary third-party and new potential developments;
  • Supporting the senior leaders to describe the structure, features, and product behaviour;
  • Supporting the senior leaders to answer RFPs, RFIs, lead PoC implementation, security questionnaires and the creation of supporting documentations;
  • Coordinating the handover process with the CX team;
  • Coordinating customisations with the Regional Product Team that will enable our customers to reach their goals.

Who you are

You have:

  • Experience in a Pre-sales/Solution Engineering role for at least 1 year;
  • Experience in e-commerce for at least 1 year;
  • Experience in the e-commerce platform sector for at least 1 year;
  • Knowledge of how to use postman to demo rest APIs (get, post, put etc.);
  • Familiar with front-end technologies, such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, React, Next.Js, Gatsby, GraphQL etc., although you are not a developer.


  • Tech & math mindset and the ability to analyse the customer’s scenarios before proposing any solution;
  • Great communication across all levels of management: C-level, director, managers and developers;
  • A technically-minded person that is able to translate technical requirements into solutions that bring value to our customers;
  • Fluent in English
